My DEAF Identity

This week in deaf support, our year 9 deaf students have been thinking about their deaf identity. Deaf identity is very important in the deaf community. Deaf identity is all about individuals recognising your own hearing loss, how you want to communicate and being proud of what makes you different from your hearing peers. Deafness is different for every deaf person. It's important for young deaf people to take pride in their uniqueness!
