Macmillan Coffee Event

This year as part of our second annual FAITH WEEK EVENT, staff at ASCS decided to host a coffee and cake event in aid of the much-loved Macmillan charity.

The students make a fantastic effort throughout FAITH week, so we as a staff felt we should match their endeavours.

On the afternoon prior to open evening, the staffroom was quickly transformed! The aroma of freshly brewed coffee was all that was needed to entice the customers in and of course the promise of some tasty treats!

The previous evening, many staff had been putting their baking talents to the test and provided such a wide range of cakes, such as the rich and chocolaty, the light and fluffy, or those with a sharp zing of lemon or lime!

It did not take long for the event to be a sell-out and in just under an hour’s time the staff at ACSC had donated a whopping £400 into the charity pot!

It was with great pleasure that Ashton handed over a cheque for this amazing amount to our local Macmillan representative.
